NAI and DFI launch new website

Neuronetwork
Multiple Sclerosis Ireland is delighted to be part of the new Neuronetwork.ie website launched by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) and the Disability Federation of Ireland (DFI).

Neuronetwork is a unique online tool that aims to provide users with information on the range of services, supports and training available from voluntary sector organisations working with people with neurological conditions and their families.

Speaking at the launch, Denise Dunne, Development Manager of NAI said:

“Neuronetwork is a very important website which will allow people with a neurological condition, primary carers and healthcare workers to accesses a diverse and comprehensive database of supports, events and details about non-statutory organisations and the work they are doing.  While we are launching the website today, it is the start of the process, not the end, and the site will continue to grow and develop with use.”

Dr Joanne McCarthy, Senior Executive Officer for Policy and Research with the Disability Federation of Ireland, noted the unique nature of the project:

www.neuronetwork.ie is the first website of its kind in Ireland and we are delighted to have worked so closely with the NAI, the members of both of our federations, and the HSE to ensure the site meets the needs of the target audience. We will continue to work closely with these groups to make sure this unique portal is the go-to resource for anyone supporting a person with a neurological condition in Ireland.”
