In November 2014, the team at our North East Regional Office joined local businesses, schools and other members of the community in decorating Christmas trees which were then on display at St Maeldoid's Parish Church in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan where the public were invited to make a charity donation.
Over 30 Christmas trees were decorated and it really is a testement to the local community and their incredible Christmas spirit. Over the few days, people very generously donated money to two local charities - Castleblayney Cancer Care and our North East Regional Office.
Kevin Curran, NE Regional Coordinator, said, "It really is a credit to all the staff in the North East Office and in particular Lorna, Gail and Tess for working so hard in decorating our MS themed Christmas tree and displaying it proudly with the best at this event. Thank you to all who donated."
We are excited to say that we were presented with a cheque for €2,100 which will go towards some of our therapeutic programmes for our clients in the North East in 2015.
