Help Improve rehabilitation services by taking this survey

For many people with MS rehabilitation is an important part of managing the impact of the condition. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy can all play a part in maintaining or improving a persons functioning.

To help improve rehabilitation services please take 10 minutes to complete this survey. The survey has been compiled by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland and members like MS Ireland, to help us lobby for better rehab services in Ireland.

At the end of last year the government published the long awaited Neuro-Rehabilitation strategy. This document looks at the services and responses needed by people with neurological conditions in relation to rehabilitation services. MS Ireland feed into the process and sat on two of the working groups.

In 2011 the HSE also formally appointed Dr Áine Carroll as the lead for the Clinical Rehabilitation programme. The aim of the programme is ‘Maximising Ability, Minimising Disability’. Dr Carroll and her team are currently working on systems, process and resources to improve the provision of rehab services in Ireland.

With both the strategy and the clinical programme MS Ireland and other neurological organisation will continue to lobby for better services.
